    Dr. Christopher Schröder founds the Paribus Group. Today, the Paribus Group manages investments in railroads and real estate with a total volume of around 3 billion euros. The group currently employs around 120 people.
  • 2008
    In 2008, the company entered the locomotive business with the founding of Northrail. With a vehicle pool of over 430 locomotives, passenger coaches and traction units, Northrail is now the number one rental company in Europe.
  • 2018
    NRail GmbH is founded with the aim of digitizing the rail industry. Christian Drake and Max Griese laid the foundations for today’s platform as managing directors and idea generators.
  • 2021
    Start of development of the PAULA data box. The telematics solution is used by rail transport companies to organize and manage their vehicle fleets. PAULA provides data such as position, speed etc. directly from the vehicle.
  • 2022
    The parts platform reaches the mark of more than 30 thousand parts. More than half of German workshops and maintenance companies regularly use NRail.de to procure spare parts.
  • 2023
    The vehicle exchange starts with the sale of used rail vehicles. The rental business has complemented the offering since 2024.
  • 2024
    The areas of AI and 3D printing are being developed and will further round off the range.
